I have stalled mid change at an intersection in the dark, I've stalled in hurry hour visitors, I've stalled at stop indications, and so forth. I just changed the alternator charging strap and fuse block myself due to the fact I refuse to pay $580 for VW to fix, specially when it's a manufacturer's defect.
